He Shall Build A House For My Name…

He Shall Build A House For My Name…

Do we always see or experience the great blessings God intends for our life? Does the Lord God always fulfill the promises He’s made to each of us?

There is beauty in all of Gods works and everything done on this earth is a work of God – everything. This is includes, but is not limited to, our addiction, our sin, our triumphs and the great works of art and architecture. God’s beauty is in everything. We just have to seek, ask and knock and it will be revealed.

David learned this after he had spilled huge amounts of blood. While David was forgiven of his sins, he did not realize the beauty of God in his works. David knew the beauty was coming as the Lord God had told him, David, that his son, Solomon, would build a magnificent house for the Lord. While David was dying he “set the table” for Solomon to build a great temple.

And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. ~ I Chronicles 22:5 KJB

Sometimes our eyes can not physically see the beauty of God working in our lives but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful, significant and inspired. God is always blessing our life through even the most horrific of tragedies that we suffer during our life time, the beauty of God is there.

Then he called for his son Solomon, and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel. And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the Lord my God; but the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight. Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’ ~ I Chronicles 22:6-10 NKJB

Not only does our Lord see the great sins of David, and forgives him, our Lord God blesses his son, Solomon to build a temple to the Lord like no other in the history of the world. We can see the foundation of this temple even today and we will see it tomorrow as well. Sometimes we don’t know what the beauty of God is until it is revealed but it is there among the broken pieces. Seek, ask and knock it will be revealed.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
